[Monster Train] Mutators Speedrun - 3:20.917 (WR)
Run starts at 3:54 - hit timer about a second too late because I hit the wrong button lol. For the sake of transparency I do have a single mod enabled, RisingDusk's More Boss Information - which does not fundamentally change gameplay, merely changing flavor text and allowing you to reference information that is available to you at the start of the run.
The previous strategy was to use Trample Penumbra with the Mutators: Fast Draw (gives you Quick), Strike Hard (gives all units Multistrike), and Seeing Double (duplicates the first friendly unit you play). You would then skip everything and play bottom floor on all combats.
By adding a reroll for Mark of a Champion (+50% Strength to your Champion when played), all combats up to Seraph become marginally faster. Seraph himself dies in one turn, saving a significant amount of time. Monstrous III has base 170 Strength, which is increased to 255 from Mark of a Champion, and with 4 hits on the floor, it's a total of 1020 damage - just barely enough to take out all of his 999 HP at Covenant 0.
Sap Seraph and Curse Fel are grounds for an instant reset. I also reset on Diligent Seraph in this video out of habit - I don't think you can actually draw Vengeful Shards turn 1, but before the Mark of a Champion strategy, you would be slowed down having to play the curses to not take Pyre damage.
The allied clan was Wurmkin because I figured if I got good luck and Daedalus/Talos spawned bottom, I could theoretically do enough damage with Fractures to kill them without having to wait for them to return to the floor. Unfortunately I forgot to actually do this during the run and Talos gave me a very bad flying pattern, causing me to bleed some time. I might revisit to clean the early-game up but honestly I feel bad enough introducing so many resets to this category that I'll just leave it here for someone else to claim lol.
