You wake up alone in a ship filled with monsters. What happened is a mystery, but one thing is certain, you got to get out before you get killed. You can escape through a liferaft, a submarine or a helicopter. But first you have to gather the right tools and items to fix them. And that’s where the problem starts, since they’re randomly scattered around the ship. There is no save point, so if a monster kills you, you’ll start from scratch.

And you will die. Monsters get attracted by noises you make or other actions. But that means you might be able to trick them… if you’re smart. But hiding around in lockers or under furniture will be your main getaway. When everything else fails, you run. But be careful, since the ship is falling to pieces and you might stupidly die in one of it’s traps. As you explore your surroundings, you’ll find notes with tips and small revelations of what happened.

The main objective this game needed to accomplish is to be scary. And it was… for a while. The environment has a spooky feel and the “hide-and-seek” dynamic does get the blood pumping. But it lacks on ambient sounds to make you more paranoid and immersed. But the biggest flaw is, after some plays, you catch on the monsters’ patterns and it becomes tedious. What should be a question of attention and skill, becomes more a question of repetition and random luck.
