Moomins are a family of white, round, fairytale characters resembling hippopotamus. Moomin: Puzzle and Design and all the other Moomin games are based on these characters which are central characters in many books of Sweden. The Moomins have slept out the whole of winter and now the Moomin valley is ready to bloom again. The players need to solve various puzzles and decorate the valley with blooming flowers, bushes, and many more items.

Moomin: Puzzle and Design are just like any other easy-to-play puzzle and design game. The game features the magical world of Moomin valley, allowing the players to meet all the Moomin characters from the classical books of Tove Jansson. The game has a unique storyline which different from the earlier games of Moomin. The players have to fix the garden and decorate the valley to create a perfect version of Moomin valley. But in order to decorate or design the valley, the players need to solve puzzles.
