Moon Patrol -1984 - MS-DOS Game Review
0Moon Patrol on the IBM PC is a remake of the very successful Moon Patrol that was in the Arcade machines. I remember spending far too many coins on this little gem. It's a game of skill, and as such responsiveness to controls is ultimately important, and unfortunately this is where the DOS version falls behind.
The IBM-PC being so new, and relatively underpowered caused the people who ported this game to make some concessions, and still the game slows down on complicated scenes.
I was able to get a roughly playable emulation by bymping the cycles to 400, which was the speed of the fastest PC's of the time. I also talk a little about the turbo button!
