Moonscars (Xbox One) - challenging 2D souls-like platform slasher - let’s play (beyond 1st mirror)
18Moonscars is a Metroid-like but with challenging 2D combat that takes inspiration from the Souls series. Not really sure what to expect, this stream demonstrates gameplay and the wonderfully mood, dark painted art style. Even the ominous soundtrack sets the dreary tone. I eventually died several times at a tricky part where you must face off against several enemies at once but I am looking forward playing more.

In Moonscars, players will be put to the test as they unravel the mystery of key protagonist Grey Irma’s world. Every death is a lesson learnt—and as they overcome each challexnge, new truths will be revealed. As the fierce clayborne warrior Grey Irma, they must push their combat skills to the limit and master new abilities to progress through an unforgiving nonlinear 2D world. Facing off against the relentless, destructive darkness and cruel mistress the Moon, their quest is to find the Sculptor and unravel the mystery of their existence.
