More explosions than a Michael Bay movie... | UNCHARTED 4 | Let's Play #17
Hey guys, we are back with another episode of Uncharted 4 and after Sams lighters help finding the secret staircase leading down Avery's private escape route, we ended off inside a rather handy cave funnily enough filled with hands, turns out that Avery was merciless when it came to betrayal...
We proceed through the vast expanses of the caves, avoiding triggering the hundreds of traps that Avery left to keep people away. His favorite seems to be mummified corpse bombs, the amount of people that were forced into BEING those traps is quite disturbing.
After we eventually ran out of mummies exploding on us, we entered a long water logged cave, when something on this island seems nice and quiet is always a trick. The second we stepped foot into the cave Shoreline soldiers seemed to pour out of the walls firing blindly at us, naturally we dealt with them the same way we always have... Slaughter them.
Further through the tunnel, we come across another one of Avery's mad warnings about betrayal or in this case being spoken poorly of. Really, okay this man is seriously pathetic. We find an area where the colonists must of found and fought the pirates, skeletons of the dead are scattered all around the cavern, at the end of the room we can see a large iron door with a body slumped up against it... The body belonged to non other than Thomas Tew, paired with a letter telling of Henry Avery's deception.
Moving through the door, of course the are even more exploding mummies waiting for us for Gods sake. We continue round to a small drop covered in those damn mummies which actually nearly kill us. We enter an intact chamber with the same puzzle as before with the panels connected to the respected sigils. On the back of the note Tew added a key guide for the sigil puzzle to ensure safe passage.
Finally after the panel puzzle, we seem to be coming to the end of the cave system, we can see daylight breaking through the ceiling, unfortunately the room is filled with more mummies, except these ones don't explode. There's another large iron door and the end of the room, we use Thomas Tews key to unlock the door, and of course there's another trap that winches Nathan and Elena into the air ensnared in a net... Now the mummies want to come alive, slowly their fuses start lighting exploding in turn, Elena spots a saber in one of the corpses, we go straight down to the wire grabbing with just enough time to escape through the door.
The fun doesn't stop there... We are faced with a corridor lined with more timed detonating mummies, we run through the tunnels before being blown off the cliff down into the pools below.
The rest of the episode is pretty good & spoiler filled soooo I'm going to leave this synopsis here.
