More Hidden Mechanics in Death Stranding: BTs, MULEs, Monsters, Weapons, and Grenades
More Hidden Game Mechanics in Death Stranding are revealed in this video. By using BT weapons on MULEs, you can see how Hideo Kojima considered the unique behaviors different weapons have on targets they were not originally designed to be used on. For example, hematic grenades can be used on MULEs with effects similar to a smoke grenade or Smoke-Emitting Decoy Cargo. Anti-BT Handgun can be used on MULEs to distract them by aiming for the face, which allows you to to get behind them to make the Strand rope CQC move. Video also goes in great detail how different private room grenades (shower, toilet, etc) affect MULEs if used on them (they get distracted and slip on the wet location of thrown grenade). If you drink Monster Energy drinks before going to the bathroom, you get more EX Grenade No. 1. If you eat cryptobiotes instead, you can get extra EX Grenade 2. Getting extra dirty provides more EX Grenade No. 0, and fighting a lot gives you more materials to make Hematic Grenades when your blood is collected when you are sleeping in a Private Room. You also get a thorough explanation of how BTs create Goo, Goo Grabbers (invisible monster) and the black goo (tar) itself. Also explained in this video of hidden Death Stranding game mechanics:
What happens if you are knocked out by MULEs?
What are the orange handprints in BT territory?
What is the safe zone that you can go to to avoid MULE's attacks?
Who creates the Goo and Goo Grabbers (black tar and tar people)?
What happens if you throw a hematic grenade at BTs or Goo Grabbers?
What does the VOG-Emitting Decoy Cargo do?
What is the max number of grenades pouches (of any type) that can fit on Sam Porter Bridges?
How does the Bola Gun affect MULEs?
How do you cargo slam a MULE if you carry one in your left or right hand?
These answers and lots of information is provided on PS4 Pro version of Death Stranding. This is second video of hidden game mechanics. For first hidden game mechanics video: http://youtu.be/nEjUy3H8eEI
