18 Things You Need To Know in Death Stranding: But Probably Didn't Know
18 Things You Need To Know (But Didn't Know) in Death Stranding game by Hideo Kojima. Video shows many things you probably didn't know until you have gotten far in the game or have experimented a lot to unlock these secrets. Video shows the following:
You can cross crevices on a motorcycle (reverse trike) using only one ladder.
You can cross wide crevices by touching front wheel of bike on opposite side of cliff, and then jump to safely cross chasm.
Sam can stand in the air like a cartoon if he opens a truck door while the truck is suspended between two cliffs.
NPC Porters do deliver packages to shelters if you stay far enough away and view them from a distance.
You can safely cross rapid rivers using otter hat or zip-line.
You can directly deliver cargo from truck to a shelter by simply driving the truck very close to the delivery terminal (no need to manually carry cargo on Sam Porter's back).
If you gain 5 stars in a prepper shelter, you can gain a star to sick on Sam's leg, and then you can also rest in their shelter to regain stamina, energy, and replenish utility bag supplies (no private room though).
To remove exclamation mark from shelters, you need to go to the Share, then claim all "Cargo For Sam" items.
If you rest near a land coral, you can view a cryptobiote really close up.
Do double front flip by jumping while running downhill.
Enter Joke's private room and drive his truck (purple color with green accents).
If you stand behind a truck, you can press R2 or L2 to take cargo directly off of the truck (releasing does the reverse).
Death Stranding has many features similar to Metal Gear Solid type of stealth, including: snake behind MULEs and do CQC strand take down. Use camouflage rock to hide from MULEs, and use Remote stun weapons to trigger a shock on MULEs from far away.
If Sam is carrying liquid cargo, and it is shot by MULEs, Sam can slip on them over and over again.
Hunters in BT territory will grab Sam and drag him down in the Crater Lake, leading Sam to enter the Beam.
These and other secrets are shown in this video of things you need to know were done the the Playstation 4 Pro version of Death Stranding.
