Mortal Kombat 1, the soft reboot of the long running fighting game franchise has fallen short of expectations for many players following the game's recent debut during the Summer of Games event. Several pieces of information on the game's core gameplay system has raised some red flags that are signs for concern. Previews from gaming journalists specifically those from IGN have also showcased some questionable design choices from Netherrealm. Considering that the beta for the game is scheduled for the fall as well as the game's release itself, there's not much time that Ed Boon and company have to right the ship.
