35Playthrough with Smoke. This version of the game is included on Midway Arcade Treasures 2. It runs too fast when compared to the arcade version, and has some extra problems like music glitches (such as during fatalities). Also you cannot permanently unlock Smoke, even though it has an option to save settings -if you want to use him you'll have to enter the ultimate kombat kode every time, hence why I picked Sub-Zero and lost the first fight on purpose.
It isn't too difficult to get through the standard opponents with Smoke, although the CPU in this game is different to Ultimate MK3 -most of them won't do a projectile whenever you jump back and do a kick in the air. They do seem to get hit by uppercuts a lot more in this though. The bosses, however, are just as awful as they are in UMK3. Actually I think Motaro is even more difficult in this version, as it seems difficult/impossible to do a neutral jump kick to combo on him in this game. I had to spam Smoke's teleport uppercut a lot more to beat him. With the final boss, if you can just land one spear on him, you should be set to win. Smoke has it fairly easy, but I dread trying to win with any of the other characters.
