Mortal Kombat X: Sektor & Cyrax Easter Egg! - Secret MK3 Reference! (Mortal Kombat 10)
Sektor and Cyrax are secretly referenced inside of a Mortal Kombat X Easter Egg if you take the time to checkout Jax's barn from the MKX story-mode! Inside Jax's barn concept art, which can be viewed once unlocked, there's a few signs that are being shown off. These signs are a clear-cut reference to the origins behind both cyborgs, Cyrax and Sektor. Believe it or not, but before these guys had an official name inside of MK3, Ed Boon and the team at Midway Games gave the two of them the nicknames, Mustard and Ketchup, simply due to their color scheme. Eventually, they got their own unique names and the rest was history! However, not only can you clearly see the names Sektor and Cyrax inside of these rectangular posters, but they even mention ketchup and mustard respectively. Not to mention, a yellow rectangle even states, "LK-4D4," Cyrax's actual in-game unit number. Though Sektor makes a small appearance (even if it's just his head) inside of the campaign, it's good to see the guys paying homage to the origins of two of the most popular characters inside of the Mortal Kombat franchise! With that said, what do you all think of this new Sektor and Cyrax easter egg? Be sure to let me know your favorite in the comment section below!
