There are total 3 scripture of despair in the all game you can find, and we need this item to be max out familiarity for trophy (bars tended) so we need all 3 scripture of despair , and no enemy drop it, in my playthrough so far, only found in chest or ground sparkling item. and in new patch (update 1.05) location changed, 1 scripture of despair in shrine of eternity.
