I'd had my eye on Mortal Shell for a while and thought okay, another Dark Souls Like clone that disappoints or is just okay. Far from it, within the first few minutes I knew wow... this was going to be something special. The atmosphere is beautifully oppressive. The graphics are fantastic, I'm totally impressed. That's how I imagine Dark Souls 4. I have to get used to the new battle system, but I like that they came up with something new and it's fun.

I miss being able to create a character myself in RPG style, but I don't mind not concentrating on micromanagement for once, but just on the combat. So far I'm totally impressed by Mortal Shell, which I didn't expect. The first 1.5 hours have totally thrilled me. This is more or less a blind play, I had only played 30 minutes beforehand to familiarise myself with the mechanics. So far... great game, I hope the beginning keeps its promise. So far I feel carried away.
