As you know, I have had a chaotic relationship with my family. My mother let me know out of the blue that she would be coming to Sweden. She gave me about 10 days. We had not seen each other in 8 years. So here I am losing sleep stressing, cleaning and preparing so that everything goes smoothly.
Parents from Madagascar are usually (most of the ones I have experienced) strict and expect a lot from their children. It does not matter if you are 12 or 29, you are expected to overperform in everything, including being a host. We shall see how that goes...
