NBR stands for No Broom Route, and is an unofficial category I created that allows me to speedrun any% just as much as anyone else. I was born with a condition that affects fine motor skills, making it hard to do very very small actions with my hands. The broom route in the Kitchen level requires such movements - 10 or so in a row, perfectly, instantly. Given that the WR in any% is now under 4 minutes and zooms up the broom first try, it's literally impossible for me to get WR anymore.
Categories that ban the use of one specific trick or route aren't unheard of, but they aren't too common. Usually it's a category that bans a few glitches, but those are for longer games, and this game is 5 short levels. It could just be too early in the game's speedrunning lifespan for such a category, but I do run an entire game on my own with two categories for it, so this will just be business as usual. Running only this category is my form of protest, as I've heard that this "will never be a category".
