January 1, 2024 is a date people have been waiting for. Steamboat Willie, the earliest version of Mickey Mouse, is now in the Public Domain. About time. In any case, I expect we'll see a lot of games make use of the new public domain status and bring us some truly exceptional games, as well as some truly awful ones. Moussacre looks like it'll fall in a category firmly set as good and fun. It's a fast paced platformer with some obvious inspirations from old cartoons. Controls were good, combat felt satisfying, the sense of speed was great, and overall I found this to be a really fun and enjoyable title.
It gets a recommendation from me.
