Moving Out of My Childhood Home | Travel Vlog Part 1
Moving out of my childhood home was only the beginning of a long journey that would lead me to living in another city. Something I never thought I would ever do, moving me and my family to a place that we never dreamed we'd ever end up.
To get you up to speed, in the middle of August, my family started renting a house from my cousin. We'd only been there a month when the power and water were shut off mid September. We learned that my cousin didn't pay several past electric bills and they were way past due.
Power was only supposed to be off for a week. They said they'd pay the past due difference, and we just needed to pay what we used for the current electric bill. Sounded simple enough.
We moved into my parent's house, my childhood home, in the meantime. While we waited for the power to turn back on. A house, I might add, that had already been sold.
A week went by and my cousin said they couldn't pay the bill and power would not be restored. And they also dropped that we had 2 months to find another place because they could lose or sell the house. We had no idea it was that bad when we moved in, and they never told us anything about it.
But with the power off we didn't even get a chance to look for another place. We were now homeless, staying in my childhood home that had already been sold. The new owners said we could stay the week, before they moved in.
This vlog was the day before the new neighbors would move in. We left, to find a new place to live.
