Mozilla Foundation, the non-profit organization behind the Firefox browser, has recently laid off 30% of its staff and eliminated its advocacy and global programs divisions. This decision is part of a broader restructuring effort aimed at increasing agility and focusing on core priorities.
While Mozilla Foundation has clarified that advocacy remains a central part of its mission, the specific approach to advocacy will be revisited. This restructuring follows earlier layoffs within the Mozilla Corporation in February 2024.
