MP5 IS TOO GOOD! Until... (S.W.A.T. Nightmare Hell on Earth)
Decided to hop into Nightmare and play a perk that isn't one of my best - took the MP5RAS into a HoE short and experiment a little bit. The MP5RAS has always been one of the best trash killers in the game due to the mag size and the ammo reserves alone, with decent power, fast rate of fire and a really tight spread it's also extremely good for taking out medium zeds and even shreds Scrakes. However, when the Fleshpound spawns come in, this thing struggles a little bit. Still probably my favourite S.W.A.T. weapon though, it does need to be fully-upgraded if you want to take it to the end of the game. Here's my S.W.A.T. config for the waves after the start:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
• Level 5: Heavy Armor Training (Left)
• Level 10: Tactical Reload (Right)
• Level 15: Ammo Vest (Right)
• Level 20: Cripple (Right)
• Level 25: ZED TIME - Rapid Assault (Right)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
S.W.A.T. has probably one of the most flexible perk trees in the game, everyone will change things around according to their own tastes whereas other perks, especially Gunslinger, has some pretty obvious "correct" choices for the loadout. I'm not using Tactical Movement because I very rarely use ADS, so it'd be a wasted perk. Tactical Reload and Ammo Vest are selected to compliment the main weapon; I don't need to switch to my sidearm with such a massive ammo reserve and a snappy reload speed. Assault Armour selected at the beginning for a free vest on wave 2, and changed to Cripple for the following waves because it would be a waste not to. Finally, Rapid Assault over Battering Ram because for me it seems to be the better solo option to take down large zeds during ZED time. Time stamps for the video listed below:
