Mr. Dig (arcade)
played by Judgment Storm
Score: 224.860
500 meter stage

Made by the Korean company Sun (not related to Japan's Sunsoft), Mr. Dig is a flagrant knockoff of Mr. Driller. They did change a few things though. First, there are bombs. You can use them to destroy blocks above you, or take yourself out if you're not careful. Bombs' explosions are 3 blocks wide. Also there will be letters to spell EXTRA for a 1-up. Drilling out the heavy X blocks is slower. If you lose your last life in the 500m course, you can continue.

Air tank score bonuses don't carry over between every 100m. Now there's less incentive to make sure you get every single one. Time bonus is still pretty considerable though. You could probably skip some air tanks to try for a faster time bonus and maybe come out ahead.

Unfortunately, Mr. Dig's soundtrack is lacking. At least in the 500m course there is just one tune, and it's not a very good one.

It's not terrible, but I'd rather play Mr. Driller G before this.
