0As a request from Dealer News International we will be writing a short update on the state of the market for 2014, but many of the notes and overviews from 2008-2009 still apply.
Consolidation across the Powersports Industry has been slower than in the car and aviation industry because many of the factories are located in countries such as Spain, Italy, and China where local ordinances and state interest prevents them from shutting down. We will address this in the 2014 Industry article.
Where do all these scooters come from? A closer look at OEMs mainly the Italian brand names and the state of Italian scooter manufacturing in 2008.
