With the MSCI August review just around the corner, here’s a list of stocks that one needs to keep on the radar. The official announcement of stocks that get included and excluded from the index will come out on August 11, but the cut-off to decide the same will be early next week, as per Nuvama.
As per the brokerage, Power Finance and HDFC AMC are qualifying to be included in the index, while Cummins India and IDFC First Bank are on the borderline. For Cummins and IDFC First to get included, the share prices have to rise by at least another 5%.
IndusInd Bank - which was one of the top candidates – to get included in the index, will not happen as the foreign portfolio investment room as per June shareholding stood at 13.5% as compared to the 15% required by MSCI norms.
