MSFS 2020 - Delivering Precious Cargo to @bad-sad in Warsaw, and Listening to a Radio Program
4@bad-sad your syrup is ready to be picked up, just show them your waybill. They shouldn't have you bend over for a cavity search so you're good to go (haa). Be careful with this Maple Syrup, it's very expensive. I made sure the contents did not break along the way, and everything is fine. You would think someone would have come out to help me carry it into the holding area but nope. I had someone wave paperwork at me, and spoke in polish. I yelled back saying I didn't speak Polish so I nodded yes, and I guess that is what he was looking for.
He spoke in broken english as he walked toward me. He wanted to match the waybill to the contents but I told him that the crate had to remain sealed. He left for about 4 minutes, and returned with his supervisor who spoke better english, and he let me know that it's procedure, and I had to open it up to show that I wasn't smuggling something into Poland which is illegal so I agreed (I had no choice go to jail, and have the syrup impounded or open the crate, and have a cool day).
They handed me a small crowbar, I cracked open the lid, and as soon as I lifted a bottle from the crate they got excited, and started talking to each other in Polish. I asked why they were so excited? The supervisor said that this syrup is indeed a treat, and it's expensive to buy.
I felt sad for a moment because I was going to say that I couldn't let any of these handcrafted bottles filled to the brim with Canadian Syrup go, but I soon changed my mind, and gently lifted two bottles from the crate, and gave one to each of them. I've never seen two people so happy, and they both shook my hand, and we nailed the crate closed. They couldn't be more thankful, and asked how often I come to Warsaw. I told them that this was the first time, and I'm making this delivery for a good friend.
They both left for a brief time, and soon came back, and asked if they could have me fly in two crates every two or three months. I thought about it for a moment, and told them sure, why not. They both smiled, shook my hand, and asked if I could come back in two months, and they would pay me for the syrup, and my effort.
I watched both of them walk away, enter the office, and they began showing the syrup to everyone. I suddenly got nervous because I didn't want to get mobbed so I ran to the plane, and got ready for my trip back.
SO, when you open the crate you will see two bottles missing. Maybe more if the other folks in the office got into it. I'm sure they will leave you at least one.
All freight, and delivery charges have been paid in full so all you have to do is pick it up. Give double portions to Melon, he deserves a nice treat.
