MSI RTX 3080 Suprim X 10G unboxing, benchmarking and fun
352This is a review of the MSI RTX 3080 Suprim X 10G, a beast of a graphics card which I've been testing in place of the RTX 2080Ti that I was using before. This GPU has a number of interesting highlights to it that include a fantastic brushed aluminium backplate, anti-sag support bracket, a mounting rod for extra support and a clever cooling system.

Highlights of this GPU include a clever TRI FROZR 2S Thermal Design which combines both precision-machined heat pipes and intelligently designed TORX Fans to force the air in the right direction and keep things cool. This is also awesome because the card also has a zero RPM fan mode where the fans won't spin if they're not needed, which means your system can run really quietly and efficiently.
There's also a dual-bios system built into the card which has "silent" and "gaming" modes. You can change between these with a flip of a switch on the card itself. But even on gaming mode it runs quitely when needed.
I also really like the styling of the backplate and the fact you can see the workings of the thing. The etched dragon logo also has RGB lighting which makes it shine nicely while you game. Meanwhile there's RGB lighting around the fans and the side of the card too, so if you vertically mount it you get to see more of that.
