This project has taken me years of research, and this current video series has taken 2 months and counting to produce. This is the 2nd edition, remade from my previous attempt two years ago. I’ve spent far more time perfecting this version, with additional research, better scenes, and enhanced audio to truly convey the essay’s intent.
Discover how Danny, Jack, and Halloran’s perspectives intertwine through shining visions, leading to eerie transformations and the ultimate loss of self. Kubrick’s layers of visual storytelling and spatial illusions keep audiences questioning reality at every turn.
As a bonus, the video ends with a short music video featuring The Shining footage set to Radiohead’s haunting song Motion Picture Soundtrack, whose eerie lyrics perfectly match the project’s vibe.
