Mùa thu không trở lại (The Autumn that won't return) - Phạm Trọng Cầu (1960s)
.
Pham Trong Cau wrote this song while he was in Paris. Story has it that he met and loved a beautiful Vietnamese girl, but then have to return to Vietnam and never come back to Paris. They broke up in a beautiful scenery of Paris' Autumn 🍂
My favourite lines are in the chorus:
(The day you're gone, listening to the sad rain,
Along Luxembourg Garden.
Fog weaves upon the street, who will buy this sadness from me?
From this break-up moment,
Listening to thousands of golden leaves,
Falling on the Seine,
Rain drops fall on the music note, when will I forget?)
Enjoy 🙂
