Mudae Bot April 2021 Update: Slash Commands & More
11The Mudae Bot on April 16th, 2021 had an update where it went the idea of using the new Discord feature, Slash Commands, which forced players to use / instead of the regular $ prefix. Many players who added the bot to the server after April 16th are having issues where they were forced to play with the slash commands without official methods to change it (not even $perstogglereact 2 worked).
Today, the Mudae bot had a 2 out of 3 part update talking about the slash commands. Based on these updates, members who have less than 10 rolls per hour (using $perstogglereact 2 OR $togglereact 2 for admins) were forced to roll with the slash commands in the first half of the hour, then in the second half, were free from them. The decisions for the slash commands were based from a Discord report of how they described the Mudae game.
The second of the three parts of the update talked about another report, this time talking about data collected. Based on that data, the slash commands did worse than the $ command. Discord looked into some parts of the issue and are working on a fix where / commands would equal their $ command counterparts.
The third part of the update according to the bot developers will be out tomorrow, but if a update is noted before, I may have an update for you.
