In this video, I will present to you a two-part radio script that is based on the British sitcom Mulberry, which aired from 1992 to 1993. The sitcom is about a young man named Mulberry, who is the son of Death and Springtime, and who works as a servant for an elderly woman named Miss Farnaby. The sitcom is a comedy of manners, with a touch of fantasy and romance.
The radio script that I have written with Bennet is a continuation of the sitcom, set in 2023. It explores what happens when Mulberry’s father, the Grim Reaper, comes to take Miss Farnaby’s soul, and how Mulberry’s mother intervenes and offers him a choice: to stay with Miss Farnaby in this world, or to return with her to the next world. The radio script is full of humor, heart, and drama, and it will make you laugh, cry, and think.
