Part 12 of the series. Today's Music Theory Lesson deals with the circle of fifths, the way that keys are usually arranged to show their relationships. At the heard of this is the 3:2 ratio between pitch classes, otherwise known as a perfect fifth. You can also view the key relationships in terms of shared pitches, as the keys on either side change one note.
