Not really an ugly duckling, but the first officially supported MX/antiX release with KDE Plasma Desktop.
Comes without Systemd enabled.
MX Linux includes MX Tools for easily tweaking the system and installing some basic applications, along with proprietary codecs.
The addition of a welcome screen, along with a perhaps bulkier selection of pre-installed applications makes this a good KDE distribution for new users.
