It seems there are doubters, claims the deadmau5 head never ate a care bear, claims the pitch battle between the MxSxC1 Wraiths vs Sandbox vs Walking Dead vs Smurfs vs Care Bears...never happened. And claims we never white hat hacked the Sandbox Alpha.
I can confirm we most definitely did not, and we could not have hacked ANY published map we chose, and this is all fabricated.
If this was done, it was done using no tools, no pen testing kits, and anyone could have done this with nothing other than notepad, and a little perseverance. The ability to bring down the Sandbox, was only a few logical steps further, and would have only taken some simple scripting and maybe 3-4 machines. A botnet would have crippled them in seconds, despite their DDoS provider.
We immediately contacted the Sandbox on this, explaining we could reverse engineer anything (and the alpha lobby was not impressive compared to some amazing user content). We also without going into detail explained we could use a variation of this to bring down their entire infrastructure.
Of all the issues, vulnerabilities, bad practice, security recommendations, and serious concerns we have raised, this is the ONLY one for which we received a response! Funny that?
We did not release the first video, until we were reasonably sure was fixed (nice try guys, almost there, and only took you 6 months), and we have never explained the method, other than to support, which is now "fixed". We might be able to bypass their "controls" (did someone mention obfuscation?) , but we've no inclination to do so, or to do their job for them again really.
We expose vulnerabilities. We highlighted this to protect community content. But we would do it anyway, because it's he right thing to do. Despite their total lack of respect for their amazing community.
Anyway, the care bears totally kicked ass!

We educate our children. We focus on hackers and spyware that target children. And we don't care whether your hacking and spying is "legitimate" or not. We are as much out for the corporate scumbags, the manipulators of "Web3", the market manipulators, the Big Data scumbags, as the scumbags hacking peoples funds. Not sure which is worse. For those who claim to be legitimate, even less impressed! You may be more intelligent, more educated, have more funds, and good lawyers. But I think the hackers stealing funds from children, are probably more honest than you are...
Wolverine has awoken, we may have ditched the SandBox, but that does not mean we have forgotten, or are not watching!
Wolverine is now instead focused on targeting Minecraft Mods/Packs and the prolific use of hacking/spying/stealing work from users, including the use of obfuscation/dependencies within the frameworks (that does not absolve you), and the JVM. And those "escapees" from the JVM. Sounds a bit like another Sand In The Box Game?
