Any of you guys who are subscribers, bodybuilders, powerlifters, hunters, etc. check this video out...I just found this on MDTV right after I uploaded this video. Very educational footage on why venison is an ideal meat for bodybuilders. http://mdtv.musculardevelopment.com/lifestyle/2637-guy-cisternino-explains-why-deer-meat-is-the-perfect-bodybuilding-food.html
Here's my buck of a lifetime that I shot on November 28th 2003 up in the central part of the U.P. in Michigan on federal land. Shot him with my .30-06 Winchester Model 70 Classic Stainless, I double lunged him and he still managed to run about 100 yards. Was a pain in the ass tracking him through a swamp in the dark, but every second was worth it! Out of the 12 years that I've been deer hunting, I've had an encounter with 3 jaw-dropping monster bucks and this one was the smallest of the 3. The biggest was when I was 14(my first year rifle hunting), I couldn't even count how many damn points it had, but one thing that I'll always remember is how tall his brow tines were...they had to be 12 or 13 inches at least!!! I shot at him and missed :( That one was also on federal land. The 2nd one was back in 2001 at 9:45 am when I was sitting in a hot spot(a guy's blind that we hunt with). I got a real good look at him because he stuck around for a couple minutes, but there was no way that I could get a shot at him. He was an 11 or 12 pointer with tree trunk-sized mass around his bases and throughout the rest of his rack, was very tall, symmetrical, and his antlers had a very full forward sweep. My guess was the buck was 5 1/2 or 6 1/2 years old and had to weigh 300 pounds easy...again, that buck was also spotted on federal land. Oh well, 3rd time was a charm in my case and I'm more than happy with this buck because most people hunt their entire lives and never get to see a buck like this. Hopefully I knock down a bigger one in the future.
