I have a 1986 Chevy Camaro Z28 with a 5.0 liter 305 cubic inch stock GM small block V8 Engine that has developed a exhaust back fire. The story of how it happened is i took my car out for a drive and ran it out of fuel so i put 2 gallons of gas in the tank and used some of the gas to prime the car and when i went to start the car it back fired through the carb and caught the raw fuel i poured into the top of the carb on fire and eventually i blew the fire out in the carb and drove the car home and then the next day i fired it up and re parked it where it is now and no back fire out the exhaust so a few days later i started the car again to make shure it was ok and it made a weird sound like the crank and the cam was not turning together for not even a second then the engine started cranking as it always had but when it did fire up it started the back fire. I figure it might have jumped time on the timing gears or it could just be a fouled out spark plug. Please comment and let me know what you all who know a lot more about this type of issue than me and help me figure out the best way to fix the problem. Thank you to all who watch this and comment or make a video showing what to problem is and how to fix it.
