TONIGHT ON RAW IN NYC: Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose are set to defend the WWE RAW Tag Team Titles against Gallows and Anderson. However...
EARLIER TONIGHT: RAW GM Kurt Angle informed Gallows and Anderson that after The Revival's impressive showing last week on WWE Main Event, they are now ranked as the #1 contenders for the RAW Tag Titles and will be the ones to challenge Rollins and Ambrose tonight. This prompts Gallows and Anderson to trash the area before security escorts them out.
LAST WEEK ON RAW: Samoa Joe defeated Roman Reigns to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship in their championship rematch!

TWO WEEKS AGO ON RAW: Absolution, the new group led by the RAW Women's Champion Paige with Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville crashed a match to determine the next #1 contender for Paige's title. Last week on RAW, Paige invited Mickie into the fold but was declined.

IN THE OFFICE OF THE RAW GM: Elias tells Kurt Angle to silence his cell phone and hold his applause until he is finished. Elias wanted a shot at the Intercontinental Title but instead Kurt allowed Roman Reigns to challenge for it again which is a sign of favoritism. The Big Apple wants to walk with Elias and since there are no opponents for him, he will instead provide a musical performance. Kurt tells Elias to have his concert while he looks for a worthy opponent.
IN THE BACKSTAGE AREA: Enzo Amore tells Tony Nese and Drew Gulak that they have the opportunity of a lifetime tonight. Last week, The Brian Kendrick and Gentleman Jack Gallagher let Rich Swann beat them. Gulak and Nese are both a direct reflection of Enzo and they need to get the job done. Afterwards, Enzo turns around and Nia Jax is there who asks Enzo how he's doin'.
LAST SUNDAY AT WWE NXT LIVE: Cedric Alexander defeated Akira Tozawa to regain the WWE Cruiserweight Championship!
LAST WEEK ON RAW: Rich Swann was victorious in the first of two Fatal 4-Way Matches. Swann will face the winner of tonight's Fatal 4-Way Match in a #1 contender's match for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship!

LAST WEEK ON RAW: Jason Jordan, Finn Bálor and Jeff Hardy defeated Big Cass, Elias and The Miz!

LAST WEEK ON RAW: After stating that he was edging closer to the breaking point, Matt Hardy picked up a win against Bray Wyatt. However, Hardy had to dig down deep, utilizing a Twist of Fate but from the middle rope to get the job done.
INTERVIEW: Everyone knows who Matt Hardy is but Matt himself does not. Hardy himself somehow cuts into the video thanking “The Consumer of Terrestrial Entities”, because Matt is now woken.
Wyatt says last week was not Matt’s breaking point, it was his. Bray actually feels alive again. His heart is pumping and there’s a fire inside of him that will only grow stronger. It will not cleanse or save, it will make sure everyone burns. Matt ends the communication with no choice but to sentence Wyatt to...DELETION as both engage in a duel of maniacal laughter.
