NOT Losing the Plot. My allotment Diary.
After the initial look round I start to pull the weeds. I was told by a concerned neighbor that the unidentified weed I was pulling up was actually Deadly Nightshade. Whoops. Belladonna strikes again, Harry. I wore out a part of the strimmer so I ordered a new part. Here is a tip about "Reuse" and "Reduce". If you are happy with a power garden tool and it breaks, don't immediately bin it and buy new. Most can be repaired easily, by yourself with a brand new part.
My Black and Decker strimmer is great (Coincidentally, it is the exact same one used by Jessie and her mum on Plot_37 channel. https://www.youtube.com/c/JessieatPlot37 One of my favourite channels to watch). The spare part cost just £15 ($18) but the latest version of that strimmer costs £180 new ($200). So I saved it from landfill and saved a lot of money as well. Here's the link to the website I got the part from. https://www.mtmc.co.uk/ I do not have any connection with them and it's not benefitting me to link them. I just want to save you money and the environment more landfill. Repair, not replace!
