After buying my current 16 inch MacBook Pro, my previous 2012 Retina MacBook Pro (the first ever) has now been repurposed as a home server, along with the use of a Drobo (3rd Gen) and Drobo 5N2. Part of the job was to tinker and get the temps of the laptop under control and keep the fan speeds down.

Recorded it a month ago, but only publishing it now. I'm very happy with the setup so far and the much better temps of the 7 year old laptop (bought it in 2013 as a clearance item).
