The Ys Series is known for it's fast paced action and wonderful adventures. However, it also excels by virtue of Sound Team JDK in it's soundtrack, which can so easily be overlooked, yet is integral to a great experience.
The Ys Series has some of the best music I've heard in a video game Series, and I felt it was time to recognise and celebrate that with a video that looked at the entirety of the Ys Series, and chose the cream of the crop from each Ys soundtrack.
It's worth noting as well that we are only covering the main line canonical Ys games. So that means Ys Origin, Ys I & II Chronicles, Memories of Celceta, Oath in Felghana, Kefin: Lost City of Sand, Ys VIII Lacrimosa of Dana, Ark of Napishim, Ys Seven, and finally Ys IX: Monstrum Nox.
It'll be a long one, but there was lots to fit in here!
