Revisiting Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure

It's no secret that Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure collectively as an arc are what I consider to be the best of the Trails series thus far.

And fortunately I was able to play it one more time in it's current best form with the Geofront patch around 2 months a go. This was my third playthrough of both Zero and Azure, and it will also be the last time I play both games as I don't intend to play the official versions, merely to purchase them.

So in my final playthrough, I wanted to establish the reasoning as to why I hold Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure in such high regard, what specific reasons or examples from both games tie in with what I consider to be a top tier JRPG experience.
