MY FIRST TIME PLAYING | Dota 2 Auto Chess Part #1 | and it was a disaster...
Hey there this is Patteyayo and recently I've heard alot about the brand new Dota 2 Mod Auto Chess, so I thought why not try it out. Well it turns out Auto Chess not only looks kind of complicated, it actually is. So my first Round of it went terrible as is documented here, but I can't admit defeat yet so I will practice and hopefully some day master it or at least win a round. So I invite you to join me on my auto chess journey to get that win however long it may take.
Dota Auto Chess is an eight-player custom game . It was developed by Drodo Studio at the beginning of 2019 and became one of the fastest growing custom game at that time.
A custom map created by Drodo Games for Dota 2, Auto Chess is a game that emphasises fast and fluid gameplay that simultaneously avoids the emphasis on APM and twitch-like reflexes. How you play your pieces matters far more than how fast you can click! As a custom mode, it's available for free from the Steam Workshop.
The game of Autochess is an 8-player PvP game mode in Dota 2 based around an 8 by 8 chess board, where the individual chess pieces are Dota 2 heroes. Each round, every player gets a random set of heroes from a limited pool to choose from and place on their side of the the board (4 by 8).
The players are then matched against each other (or against neutral creeps every 5 rounds) where the chess pieces battle against each other automatically. If a player loses the battle, he then loses 1 health points from each enemy hero left on the board (2 or 3 if the enemy hero is powerful). The game is won when only one player is still standing.
