Nine Sols is a beautiful hand-drawn platformer I wanted to experience since I first heard about the game.


Nine Sols is a lore-rich, hand-drawn 2D action-platformer that features Sekiro-inspired, deflection-focused combat. We get to embark on a journey of Eastern fantasy, explore the land once home to an ancient alien race, and follow our vengeful hero Yi on his quest to slay the nine Sols, the formidable rulers of this forsaken realm.


In New Kunlun, our hero Yi has awakened the nine rulers of this forsaken realm. To defeat the nine Sols in the deserted city, Yi must "[become] one with the way of Tao."


The last sanctuary of the Solarians, New Kunlun, has remained quiet for centuries. Inside this vast realm, the ancient gods left mortals with a promised land forever protected by sacred rituals, yet the truth of this world still remains unknown to most. Everything changes when Yi, our long-forgotten hero from the past, is awakened by a human child.


Nine Sols is all about following Yi on his vengeful quest to defeat the nine Sols, the formidable rulers of this forsaken realm, obliterating any obstacles blocking our way in Sekiro-lite style combat. Nine Sols explores a unique "Taopunk" setting that blends cyberpunk elements with Taoism and Far Eastern mythology. We get to unravel the mysteries of an ancient alien race and learn about the fate of mankind.
