I forgot I already had the Gauss Cannon selected...so when I pressed '2' to select it, it switched me over to the much weaker Vulcan Cannon...and then didn't double check I had the right weapon chosen. Then right out of the gate came out the worst possible robot that the materializing center can possibly spew...

A friend of mine recorded this entire level in about 48 minutes on Insane...I'm ALREADY at an hour on Ace with probably at least 15 minutes still to go had I survived...I wonder if having limited Gauss ammo and no Energy-Shield converter cost all that time, or if I'm just a slow player...

While it was far from the absolute last robot in the level that killed me...this now beats Atomproject Floor 31 (47 minutes of video time) as my longest saveless attempt on a level that ended in failure. Sorry Barry...Descent levels simply take longer than Wolfenstein ones do on average...I can only hope this holds the record for at least 17 months as well, and not because of a lack of recording attempts in that timeframe...
