131Secondary Simracing Setup after 150 Hours: Review, Strengths, Weaknesses, and Tips
In this review video, I share my complete feedback on my secondary simracing setup after more than 150 hours of use.
After testing 11 different chassis and numerous pieces of equipment, I take stock of what really makes the difference between a primary setup and a secondary setup, whether in terms of comfort, performance, or adaptability.
I review each element: Oplite R8 Fury chassis, crankset, Fanatec CSL DD 8NM base, screen, shifter, Stream Deck, seat selection, and even the importance of an integrated fan for session comfort.
I explain how to limit the budget while maintaining true gaming enjoyment; what compromises were acceptable, and above all, what, in my opinion, can really spoil the experience and what to be wary of.
I also share practical advice for those who want to configure a secondary setup or are unsure about purchasing their first cockpit: tubular or profiled? Which base should you choose? Why is the pedal set a crucial element for consistency and feel? Should you adapt to everything or avoid certain compromises?
