My Thoughts On STASIS & CAYNE
Since STASIS: Bone Totem is supposed to come out later this year, I decided to revisit the first STASIS. A traditional Point & Click Sci-Fi Horror Adventure game crowdfunded on Kickstarter in 2013, developed by an independent South African game development studio, The Brotherhood, and released in 2015. With STASIS Christopher Bischoff wanted to reinvigorate the mature isometric adventure gaming genre by combining an exciting sci-fi horror story and awesome graphics with gameplay mechanics following the classics such as Space Quest, Kings Quest, the Monkey Island series among other 90s titles, and adopting the isometric visual style of Sanitarium. And while I’m at it, I may as well include the free-to-play stand-alone prequel chapter called CAYNE, that was their last Kickstarter stretch goal.
So, how is The Brotherhood’s first commercial, crowdfunded Point & Click Sci-fi horror adventure game? My name is Siperos and these are my thoughts on STASIS & CAYNE!
