Chapter 1: Karakuri Castle
Stage: Karikuri Castle
Area(s): Joka Town, Underground, Castle Interior

We start for clues to find the Black Skull Gang's hideout.

Things to note for this game:
Goemon (Brave Hero) is balanced at throwing, and has balanced jumping ability.
Ebisumaru (Happy - Go - Lucky, with an Appetite) can throw the farthest, but has the worst jumping ability.
Sasuke (A Robot Ninja) has the worst throw, but has the best jumping ability.
- Coins are the currency of the game, which can be used at Shops and Inns.
- Shops always has the 3 options: rice balls (10c), which recovers one stamina mark, ST tablets (100c) which completely recovers stamina, and a pack of 5 Shurikens (20c), which Shurikens is a secondary weapon that can be thrown at enemies.
- Inns offer to restore full stamina for only 20 Coins. This is the place you should restore your stamina to full health rather than at the Shop unless you're really in a pinch.
- Boxes you can find around can contain Coins, Shurikens, First Pipe/Fan of Heaven/Legendary Kunai, which increases the strength of your Main Weapon, or even a Crystal Of Life, which gives one extra stamina mark.
- As long as you're at full stamina, you will throw infinite Shuriken with your Main Weapon.
-The Map Screen shows where you have been and where you are in an area, and also shows the Clear Items, which are items needed to complete stages.

This is the first stage in the game...and for a first stage, it can be particularly difficult.

One advice I have to give is to not bother to defeat the ninjas you will find around this area, and rather avoid them instead. Another is to find as many boxes as possible, as all the treasure could help you throughout the game. Utilize the Map Screen if you feel like you could get lost.

Boss: Sumo
This Boss isn't that tough, as thought of a Boss that appears just on the first stage. He will simply jump to the left and right, but will occasionally lunge forward or even shot a dart from his mouth. He is a piece of cake though if you attack him from a distance, especially if you're using the infinite Shurikens from having full stamina. It may even be possible to stun lock him from doing anything if you time throwing them too.
