A short video showing the UI speed compasion between a N900 running Android Froyo installed to the 32GB eMMC built in storage versus a T-Mobile HD2 with the latest Froyo 2.2.1 Nexus One update. Previously, most users installed NITDroid to their memory cards which in turn caused Android to perform slower than as designed. The only way around the slow performance was to buy a faster classed MicroSD card. Now, with the help of the new guide, users can take advantage of the speedy eMMC storage and in turn have a faster Android user experience that comes close to the performance that is expected of Android Froyo.

A new guide to installing NITDroid 0.8 to the eMMC can be found at http:// talk.maemo. org/showthread. php?t=66459 (remove the spaces)

Notes from theguide:

Some things you'll notice after installing it on the internal memory:
1. Runs 10 times faster, even faster than a class 8 card.
2. The battery doesn't drain fast. Had it off charger all day playing games and surfing the internet and got it to only use 40% of the battery.
3. Pretty good given now you can use it without it draining the battery!
