*I'm aware of the 'CFIS' typo in the video. I am shame and will burn with the witches*

Testing the MiSTer FPGA core for Sega Saturn using CIFS shares versus local storage (SD/USB SSD).
Many games do not load on the Saturn core for a variety of reasons. However, some games which do not load due to CD ROM timing issues may work if using a CIFS mount on a network resource. The networking hardware has a much faster throughput than the USB 2.0 bus on the DE10 Nano.

Other things I've tried which are listed as not or partially working on the MiSTer discord's running list:
Radiant Silver Gun no longer freezes for me if I skip the opening cut scene and do not fire during the preroll segment.
3x3 Eyes works (bad audio)
Sega Ages Space Harrier boots, but then goes to a dark place where hope goes to buy meth.
Snatcher works with scratchy audio, but full voice.
Grandia works but 2D elements have bad column ordering and are 'sliced up'. It also plays very slowly, probably owing to VDP optimizations missing from the pre-alpha core.
