Hello viewers! This video is of my recent playthrough of HeR Interactive’s 14th game, Danger by Design. This game was released in 2006 and sees Nancy overseas for the second time.

I apologize for all the grumbling and negativity on my part. I dislike this game very much and I don’t attempt to hide it. I can be heard critiquing the lack of continuity between games and Nancy’s inconsistency when handling French (her struggles and non-struggles pronouncing French names and reading French letters—she sounds like the list of photos is going to be difficult to translate, but can read Noisette’s LENGTHY letter with no issue). The characters annoy me immensely, and the tasks are a slog. Plus, HeR Interactive doesn’t know their primary colours. And I can’t stand the ending (which I didn’t even go over in the video).

With all that said, there are some great elements. I am a huge fan of all the references to earlier games (Jane’s Game Portal, Sonny Joon, the Beast of Blackmoor). There are funny conversations to be heard in the catacombs. And the historical storyline is very interesting.

I thank anyone who manages to stick it out and watch the whole playthrough. Your patience is amazing.
