2It seems NARAKA: BLADEPOINT made a splash among players during the weekend the beta was made available by the team from 24 Entertainment.
What can we say about this title? It’s been hailed as a “next-gen Battle Royale”. You may be asking yourself: “why next-gen?” Well, they basically implemented a never-before-seen hand-to-hand combat system into the genre. With proper timing, you can block your enemy’s attacks for deathly counter-attacks — besides this melee system, the game features long-range weapons such as bows, cannons and repeating crossbows, each one with its own firing mode. Not only that, but each hero has their own basic ability + their “ulti”.
When it comes to aesthetics, the game features an Asian art style reminiscing of the Dynasty Warriors franchise in its weaponry, maps and character fashion.
So far, only a beta gave has been released, but thanks to it, the development team have enough feedback to polish the imbalanced aspects of the game and to strengthen the positives.
We’re eagerly awaiting the release of a new beta, or even the commercial release, to keep playing the game! Thus far, we can confidently say that is a different kind of Battle Royale game, one with the option to make teams of three, two or even going alone, allowing you to play the way you like.
