How's it going everyone? Didn't think I abandoned 4th gen, did you? :)

Got a Roulette match here today against Joey AKA PokeaimMD. He's a really cool guy and a very good battler. Well known in the competitive community already, but definitely give his channel a check if you haven't before. His playstyle is VERY aggressive so often times I get the funny feeling he's reading my mind (think Psycho Mantis in Metal Gear Solid).

He's also in the finals of Meteor's farewell 4th gen tourney matched up against Dangerous36M so definitely wish him luck! He knocked out Chongo in the semi's, who was the player that eliminated me from the tourney.

Playing against Joey is always really unpredictable since he is so aggressive with his predictions in the early stages of the match. Normally you're left with 4 options on every turn: 1) attempt to hit the guy on the field 2) attempt to predict the switch and use a different move 3) Attempt to predict his prediction and act accordingly 4) Realize he predicted you to predict his prediction all along and switches in someone unexpected and random. It makes for pretty mad fun and really plays with your head.

The ending sequence was me walking on a tightrope and I feel very fortunate he switched in the Shaymin when he did. I saw him spam SR with Uxie so I was thinking about clicking Taunt to force him to struggle, but I still needed more damage on Regigigas so that my scarfed Gliscor could take him out in one hit and avoid the confuse ray, which would leave the fate of the match up to chance. At the same time, I was so sure the REASON he put confuse ray on me in the first place was so he could take that coin flip chance by switching in Shaymin, so I felt inclined to hit Aerial ace. Does he predict me to realize he's trying to fodder out Uxie for the free switch, or does he predict me to predict his switch and use a different attack? Once again, mind game.
