Today, we have a SPECIAL EDITION of GOTTA BE LEGEND TV for all our Rap music fans! A classic that never saw the day of light - we're talking about I Am... The Autobiography, the double CD Nas was scheduled to release in 1999 but had to be scrapped and re-recorded as individual projects (I Am... and Nastradamus) due to the album being leaked during the sampler process.
Nas' third album was meant to follow the success of his previous album, It Was Written (which went double platinum) and was highly anticipated by many Rap music fans as a new beginning for Rap music after the death of Tupac "2Pac" Shakur and Christopher "Notorious B.I.G." Wallace. This album was meant to be Nas' claim to the throne for King of NY, his most ambitious project during a time when the throne was vacant and up for grabs - all during a time when he was the rightful heir (before Jay-Z blew up).
The rest became history.

(The download links in that URL don't work, so we used the track list as a reference and put this together ourselves!)
Most songs were ripped from original CD's that we own (I Am..., Nastradamus, The Lost Tapes, QB Finest) while others were found online. We used the best quality we could find and then re-encoded the songs as 44.1kHz and 320kbps to match CD Quality as best as we could.
The track list seems legit in our opinion as it features a particular order and follows the theme of the album, which we think is amazing! If this is indeed the correct track list, then we can surely understand why this album received 4.5 mics from The Source back in 1999. We missed out on a true gem, folks...
